Almost anything would seem like a letdown after Bamboo bedding Blade, yet Higurashi: When They Be sad holds their own pretty well about the favourite. At the very least, most of the approach it does. They have round, bigeyed, very attractive artwork and a really funny cartoonish feeling (Oh no! Rena's "Adowable" function has been activated!). A sugary, charming, in addition to awfully funny school stand up comedy until a severed corpse jars that in a different direction. We have as yet no clue why a plot determines to go that way, or exactly what it expects to uncover along this road; although 90% of this primary chapter is superb.
